CLAYSS Uruguay launches project in agreement with INISA and UNICEF

In a cooperation agreement between CLAYSS Uruguay and UNICEF Uruguay, the project will be launched in May at the National Institute for Social Inclusion of Adolescents-INISA (Spanish acronym) to strengthen the service-learning proposal. The institute helps adolescents and young adults in conflict with the criminal law.
Authorities and educational teams from INISA have valued the service-learning proposal as a highly relevant pedagogical strategy to work with adolescents and young adults in their centres. This work is necessary to strengthen educational processes in detention centres, produce collective projects and consolidate prosocial attitudes.
CLAYSS, INISA and UNICEF will start this initiative that entails working with eight detention centres throughout 2022. A team of three tutors specialized in the service-learning pedagogy and with experience in this context will carry out the project.
