PUBLICATIONS AND RESOURCES
"Educación Superior en América Latina y el Caribe: Compromiso Cívico y Misión Democrática [Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean: Civic Engagement and Democratic Mission]," published by the Organisation of American States (OAS) and the University of Pennsylvania. The book launching was at the OAS in Washington, DC, United States, on 5th June.
It compiles best practices from researchers, practitioners, and education representatives from across the region — as well as global partners— on how to reinforce global cooperation on higher education initiatives, specifically on democracy, social inclusion, educational access, and social engagement.
The book includes contributions from university presidents in Ecuador, Chile, and Brazil; academics and university engagement officers from Puerto Rico, Argentina, Colombia, Jamaica, and Mexico; higher education association leaders; and regional thought leaders focused on advancing democracy and improving access for indigenous peoples. CLAYSS made a specific contribution through an article written by Enrique Ochoa, executive director of CLAYSS and Andrés Peregalli, vice-coordinator of the Uniservitate Programme, entitled "Higher Education and Social Engagement in Latin America", and another with the collaboration of María Rosa Tapia, coordinator of Universitate, entitled: "Civic Engagement Through Educational Social Practices at the University of Buenos Aires."

"Institutionalisation of Service-Learning in Higher Education." Various authors.
This new volume of the Uniservitate collection underlines the multiple perspectives of the different participants enriching the institutionalisation processes of service-learning in Higher Education. The reader will find diverse and global cases regarding the institutionalisation of service-learning, and present considerations that highlight concepts and key aspects of these processes. This volume seeks to contribute to the global discussion on how and why processes that help service-learning to merge with the institutional identity and culture of Higher Education Institutions are triggered and sustained to the point of being considered "institutionalised".
