Peruvian students from Horizontes-UNESCO Programme work on the environmental care

All students from the Virgen Asunción de Pilipinto School (Cusco, Peru) participate in an SL experience to cut down on waste from their town streets. Thus the students mapped the points where inhabitants dump their garbage with clearly visible graffiti on the walls. This way, they raise awareness among their neighbours about environmental care. In addition, they spend part of their time making ecological bags at school, using sewing machines they have discovered stored for decades in the institution building. They have also bought a new sewing machine and an overlock sewing machine to make the finishes, enabling them to put into practice their textile manufacturing skills by making these bags.
