Celebration of the new members inducted into The Academy of Community Engagement Scholarship (ACES)

Since its founding in 2012, The Academy of Community Engagement Scholarship (ACES) has included leading researchers, academics, and social leaders in the social engagement field and responsibility in Higher Education. Professor Nieves Tapia, founder and director of CLAYSS, was summoned in March 2020, being the first Latin American to be part of the Academy.
Last month, ACES inducted new members, including two colleagues closely related to CLAYSS and Uniservitate: Bojana Culum from the University of Rijeka (Croatia), member of the Uniservitate Academic Sounding Board and member of the Central and Eastern European Service-Learning Network; and Chantal Jouannet, member of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile team, regional hub of Uniservitate in Latin America, and promoter, since its beginning, of the Ibero-American Service-Learning Network and the Chilean Service-Learning Network, REASE. They were awarded this distinction in recognition of their valuable work in the social engagement field and their good practices of academic engagement, community engagement, and civic engagement.
